CANADIAN FORCES FAMILIARIZATION - OPERATION MAPLE RESOLVE (WAINWRIGHT ON 31 May – 5 Jun) - LOOKING FOR CADET CANDIDATES!!!

If there are any cadets who are interested in applying, please let the Training Department know on Thursday 5 May.  Speak to either Capt Peterson or 2Lt Pawelko THIS THURSDAY.  

Criteria for selection:

• Gold Star qualified or above 
• 16 years prior to the start of the activity
• Bronze level fitness achieved within the last 6 months
• Medically and dentally fit to spend the entire duration of the exercise in the field

Here is what you will be doing:

The activity will be held at Wainwright, AB where cadets will be visiting Forward Operating Base (FOB) and villages. They will be included in the civilian population when practical, observing tactical exercises while living in the field with tactical units, but will not be participating in tactical exercises or issued weapon or weapon simulators. They will be afforded the opportunity to fire small arms on a static controlled range under qualified personnel, be given demonstrations of tactical equipment, vehicle familiarization and rides, and participate in other activities such as rappel tower and obstacle course.
