Winter Indoctrination FTX (Jan 24-26)

Winter Indoctrination FTX is this weekend! Please see below for details (details also available in the corps calendar):

Please meet at the armouries Fri Jan 24th @ 5pm
Pickup will be at the armouries Sun Jan 26th @ 3:30pm

A kit check will be completed for all green & red stars and new cadets to ensure the correct items have been packed for the weather.

Below includes a list of suggested items to bring to the Kit-Check and the FTX:

Personal Clothing and Equipment:

1.             Cadets are to wear their issued Field Training Uniform (FTU) to the exercise. Members that do not own FTU shall wear appropriate outdoor/sports attire;

2.             Cadets and staff are to pack and adjust their layers according to the weather forecast; and

3.             Below is a list of items that members should be in possession of for the activity:

1st layer (next to skin): 2 pairs of underwear; 2 undershirts; 1+ pair of thermal top and bottom (long underwear), as required; 2 pairs of socks (cotton, polypropylene); and 2 pairs of wool socks.	2nd layer: 2 pairs of outdoor pants (ie. combat pants, wool pants, sweat pants; NO JEANS); 2 outdoor shirts (ie. combat shirts, wool shirts, synthetic); and 1 sweater (wool, fleece).
3rd layer (outer layer): winter jacket/parka & snow pants (as required); scarf; toque and beret; pair of gloves; and 1 pair of combat boots (or hiking boots).	Personal/Hygiene Kit: Soap; Facecloth; Toothbrush & Toothpaste; Small towel; Flashlight; and Water bottle.

4.             Cadets are discouraged from bringing electronics and other expensive devices with them to the  activity. Please note that 2137 RCACC is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
