The Canadian Army (CA) will conduct exercise MAPLE RESOLVE 2017 (MR17) in May 2017. They have invited the Army cadets to observe and experience a portion of the activity to provide an opportunity to learn more about the Land element of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF).
RCSU Northwest is entitled to send two (2) cadets from the region
Cadets that wish to apply must meet the following criteria:
a. be an active Army cadet;
b. completed Gold Star;
c. be at least 16 years old prior to the beginning of the activity;
d. be minimally qualified Bronze level at the Cadet fitness assessment during training year 16/17;
e. be medically and dentally fit to allow them to live in the field for the duration of the program under austere conditions routinely experienced by deployed soldiers so as to not present a medical limitation that could prevent them to participate in the training opportunities and/or cause undue hardship on the host organization; and
f. obtain concurrence of both their parents/guardians and their school.
Medical Requirements
Due to the nature of the activities and remoteness of the location, only participants with no medical limitations will be considered for selection.
