Volunteers required for the ACR

Dear Cadets, Parents and Families, 

As we have done in the past the ACR will be held over a 3 days May 26,27,28 Friday Saturday and Sunday, with the main event on Sunday beginning promptly at 2:00pm. The entire weekend will be held at Mewata.

The joint Corps have let us know that they will require the assistance of parent volunteers to supervise Cadets during this weekend activities, Including overnight.

As this is a joint exercise with all 4 local Highland Corps. Each Corp is expected to send Parent volunteers and help out with an approximate ratio of 1 parent for every 10 Cadets. 

It is my understanding that cots will be available for the parents participating in the overnight volunteer session. But you may wish to bring your own sleeping bag and pillow, as well as other items you may require to be comfortable. 

There are a variety of shifts available so we hope each family will be able to volunteer for at least 1 spot. Volunteers will be expected to help out with general supervision, set up and serving of meals and running of the concession, as well as any other activities with which assistance is needed.

Parents that have completed their volunteer screening are able to sign up for any shift. Parents that do not have their screening completed are required to sign up for day time activities only and should be working with another adult at all times.
