BE ON NATIONAL TV FOR THE STAMPS GAME ON LABOUR DAY!!!

We have been invited to participate in a unique opportunity by 1292 LdSH RCACC.  Please see the email below from Lt King.  If you are interested in participating, please use the sign-up link posted in the message below and ensure you put our corps number next to your last name.  I know that we are also volunteering at the concession stand for the Stamp's game on the same day, so we are being split across 2 different events on the same day.  Participation in either events will cover you off for the Community Service/Citizenship POs.

Please direct any questions to Capt Ellis:  2137rcacc@gmail.com.

*******
We are reaching out to you as we have been approached through our Support Society contacts at the Calgary Stampeders to provide cadets to participate in the opening ceremonies for the Labour Day Classic this coming holiday Monday (3 Sept).

They are looking for a number of cadets, working with the Outriders, to create two lines creating a chute from the Stamps locker room area onto the field during the player announcements (next to the large inflatable helmet). Then the cadets will be sent to the stands to watch the game. The Stampeders will make an announcement regarding the cadet participation and with this being a nationally televised event it would be an awesome opportunity to showcase our units.

Our corps has 24 cadets signed up and we would love to get 10 more for this and thought it would be a great opportunity for your Corps too.

Note, parents and non-supervising CIC/CI staff will have to buy tickets for the game from the usual locations as none will be provided by the Stampeders.
I will also need assistance from another CIC officer or Civilian Instructor from one of the Corps to help us meet the supervision ratio.

Here are the details we have far (all subject to final confirmation with the Stampeders staff next week)

Arrival Time: 1130 hrs
Meeting Point: TBD
Dismissal: between 1530 hrs - 1600 hrs (basically the end of the game)
Parental Pick Up point: TBD
Dress: C1 cadets / 1A for CIC / Business Attire for CI
Cadets are responsible for their own refreshments/food (but we are checking to see if the Stamps have something in mind but nothing has been confirmed)
OPI: Lt Micheal King 587-585-1437 / mmtrking@shaw.ca

We have set up a spot on Signup Genius for registration. If you believe you have interest we can have your cadets use the following link to sign up. Just have them place their Corps number next to their last name so I can track them and update the CO or staff at each corps as to who signed up.
