Processing Center Information
Plan to arrive 15 minutes before your shift begins. It takes time to check-in and get settled. Training begins promptly at the start of each volunteer shift.
You are encouraged to bring packed shoeboxes when you come to your shift! Learn how to pack shoeboxes here.
All volunteers must be at least 14 years of age, regardless of a student’s grade level. Due to the warehouse environment, we can allow no exceptions to this age requirement.
At least one chaperone for every five youth is required (youth volunteers include any volunteers between the ages of 14-17).
The warehouse is often cool, so it is best to dress in layers to stay warm.
Any valuables should remain locked in your vehicle.
Closed-toed shoes are required footwear for the warehouse.
Only bottled water is allowed on the warehouse floor (no glass containers please).
One week prior to your scheduled time, you will receive an email with updated information about your work in the Processing Center.
