1.                This is a call for applications for the 2019 International Army Cadet Expedition to Chile hosted by RCSU (PAC) from 2-22 Feb 2018. RCSU (NW) will select four (4) eligible cadets and recommend staff to participate in the activity that will begin in Vancouver, BC for preparation and fitness testing. The expedition team will then proceed to Puerto Natales, Chile where they will participate in nine (9) days of expedition in kayaking and trekking.

2.                Application instructions for this activity is as follows:

a.                Cadets must meet the following selection criteria IAW CATO 40-01 Annex E:

(1)             be gold star qualified; 

(2)             be at least sixteen (16) years of age by 6 Feb 18;

(3)             have successfully completed both a silver and gold star expedition training weekend;

(4)             have successfully completed a regional expedition, and/or the Leadership and Challenge Course;

(5)             have attained the minimum Silver incentive level, IAW CATO 14-18, equal to a sixteen (16) year old female within the Cadet Fitness Assessment Incentive Program regardless of gender (priority will be given to cadets who have achieved a higher incentive level); and

(6)             be medically fit IAW CATO 16-02 and have no participation limitations.
