Yes, this challenging exercise will be opened to all 2137 cadets!
Every year, our Corps offers a unique opportunity to learn winter survival skills and, this year, the exercise will take place at Camp Howard.
This prep will focus on fire building, shelter building, signal fires, animal/track identification, psychology of survival etc.
Preparing cadets for the Winter Indoc FTX where the cadets will spend almost 24 hours surviving on their own with nothing but the clothes on their backs.
Once completed the training, you win several things! You learn winter survival skills, you build your confidence, you have the satisfaction of attending a difficult exercise AND you can earn your place at the unique 2019 Winter Survival Challenge where only a few will compete by spending 24 hours in cold weather survival conditions!
